The eatery is moving into the space vacated by The Fairview at 601-607 North 21st Street. Val’s will occupy 2,400 square feet near Eastern State Penitentiary, a location certain to draw plenty of foot traffic from locals and visitors alike. Val’s interior will be able to accommodate up to 100 customers and four tables will offer outdoor seating for patrons hoping to enjoy the sights of the city.

Vallery is hoping for his first foray into Philly dining to be a fun and welcoming location that offers pleasant ambiance alongside delicious cuisine. He states: “I just always had a vision of having a restaurant that was bright, inviting, [with] good music, just a spot where you can come and socialize and have a good time.”

Customers can look forward to sampling a wide range of comfort food dishes when Val’s opens its doors in August or September. The menu will include steak, lobster, sushi, and salmon, as well as providing vegan options.

Val’s will welcome visitors between 7 am and 1 pm for breakfast and brunch and from 3 pm to midnight for lunch and dinner, Tuesdays through Sundays.
